All these were on disk and loaded into 256k of RAM on the 1000. The 1000 had no provisions for kickstart ROMs.

RAM:
The Amiga 1000 shipped with 256k RAM on the motherboard.

There is an expansion on the front of the machine to accept a 256k RAM expansion module.

All of this RAM was configured as CHIP RAM. Everything over the 512k was configured as FAST RAM, usually added to the expansion slot on the side.

There was also 256k set aside on the motherboard for Kickstart in addition to the above.
